The fog stayed away and calm weather made for another fantastic morning at Cable Beach. The Club welcomed David Bryant to the event, who raced in the sprint category in preparation for his Olympic debut on the 29th August. It was a great battle between him and Jo!
A strong current made for a tough swim, at one point I think everyone felt like they were swimming backwards. Thanks Ris for helping the kids through the swim. But that was all quickly forgotten on the bike leg. The course was very busy with cars, so a reminder to all members to we aware at all times, people of holidays often forget the road rules.
The water station on the run was much appreciated with the morning warming up quickly and the shady run course was much appreciated. Congratulations to Rob, Flynn and Ryley who completed their first Enticer distance tri this morning. Super effort!
Thanks to Elks (race director), Karen (timing), Josie (timing), Neil (course marshal), Tracy (photographer) and to everyone who helped set up and pace down, these club events can't happen without volunteers, you are amazing!. See you all in two weeks for our final hit out before the Cable Beach Tri on 29th August.
