2021 SEASON

Club Series #1 - Fri 19th March

We welcomed a lot a new faces to the club at our first event of the season on Friday 19th March at BRAC/Lotteries House. The Swim/Run/Swim/Run was a great way to start the year off with 40 Club Members taking part. The rain held off and a cool overcast evening was very kind on our athletes. It's clear from event #1 that our strong youth cohort are going to set the pace for the year which is extremely exciting for the club. Club Series #2 - Fri 7th May

Another great turn out for our second club event for 2021. 33 members took part in the Swim/Run/Swim/Run format. It was a battle of the adults vs the kids, with the kids being the winners in all but one category, Scott Beatty managing to hold off Ryley Smith by 12 seconds in the short course. Throwing a bike leg in next event might give the adults a better chance of taking the title!

Club Series #3 - 7am Sunday 23rd May

It's back to the beach!  Our first full triathlon of the year will start and finish in the Surf Club car park. Be sure to arrive early to set up transition ready for the race brief at 7am. Athletes can choose from two distances either:

Enticer - 375m swim ~ 10km ride ~ 3km run

Sprint - 750m swim ~ 20km ride ~ 5.5km run

​The Course:

Swim: ocean swim under the control of the Broome Surf Lifesaving Club and will be a 375m rectangle.

​

Club Championship Race

​Each club event and tri sport local race (Dash n Splash, BRAC to Beach, Fat Nats etc) that our members participate in earns them points towards becoming out 2021 Broome Tri Club Champion.
